Forward Sloping GRP Door Canopies

A forward sloping canopy angles down and away from the wall, carrying rainwater clear of your step instead of dripping onto it. It's a practical shape with a traditional look, especially with scrolled supports like the Hamilton's. Our forward sloping canopies are moulded in one piece from GRP, so they won't rot or need painting, and each one is made and finished in North Yorkshire. Also see our pitched roof and flat roof canopies.

Rain carried away from the door
The forward slope sheds water off the front edge, away from the threshold and whoever is standing at the door. It's a sensible choice for exposed entrances that catch the weather.

Moulded GRP, not timber
Each canopy is a one-piece GRP (glass reinforced plastic) moulding, pre-finished before it leaves us. There are no joints to leak, nothing to rot, and no painting to keep up.

Styles and sizes
Choose plain brackets and a shallow pitch with the Thirlmere, or scrolled supports for a period look with the Hamilton. The Grassmere is made in a wide spread of widths, from 1515mm to 3000mm. Check each product for its exact sizes, or ask us for a quote.

Light to handle, simple to fix
GRP is strong but light, so a forward sloping canopy is easy to lift into place and puts less load on the wall fixings. Most installations are a two-person job.

Made in the UK
Each canopy is designed, moulded and finished in North Yorkshire. As with any canopy, check the supplied fixing and load information against your building and location before installing.

It varies by model. The Grassmere is made from 1515mm to 3000mm wide, and other styles in set sizes. Each product page lists its exact sizes.
What are they made from?
