Your 14-day right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, if you’re a consumer buying at a distance (online or by phone) or off our premises, you generally have 14 days to cancel your order without giving a reason. For goods, that period ends 14 days after the day you receive them — or, for an order delivered in parts, 14 days after you receive the last item.
To cancel within that window, just tell us — using the form below, by email, or in writing. You don’t have to use any particular form of words.
Made-to-measure canopies are an exception
This is the important bit. Most of our canopies are made to measure — built to the exact width and projection you specify. Goods made to your specification or clearly personalised are exempt from the statutory 14-day right to cancel (regulation 28). Once we begin making a bespoke canopy to your dimensions, the cooling-off right no longer applies to it.
Standard, non-customised items bought at a distance — anything we supply ready-made and unaltered — do carry the 14-day right. If you’re not sure which applies to your order, send a request anyway and we’ll tell you where you stand. Even where there’s no legal right to cancel, we’ll always look at what we can do.
Returns and your refund
If your order is eligible and you’ve received the goods, you then have a further 14 days to return them. You’re responsible for the cost of return unless we’ve agreed otherwise, and the goods should come back in the condition you received them — we may reduce a refund to reflect any loss in value from handling beyond what’s needed to check them.
We’ll refund you within 14 days of getting the goods back, or of you giving us proof you’ve sent them, whichever is sooner.
