About us

Made to measure.
Made to last.

House of Canopies has designed and made door canopies in the UK since 2013, drawing on twenty-five years in the building trade — and we build every one to look good and to keep looking good.

Our story

Twenty-five years of doing it properly.

House of Canopies was founded in 2013, built on twenty-five years’ experience manufacturing in the UK building industry. We design and make all of our canopies ourselves — to look great and to last — and we’re proud to offer a range that’s as well-built as it is good-looking.

Every canopy is made to measure, so it suits your doorway and your home rather than the other way round.

Where you’ll find us

We build in a wartime hangar.

You’ll find us just outside the village of Tockwith in North Yorkshire, a short drive from the historic city of York. It’s a quiet spot now — but it has quite a past.

  1. 1941

Opens as RAF Marston Moor, a heavy conversion unit training aircrew to fly the four-engined Handley Page Halifax bomber.

  2. 1945

The base closes that November and, over the years, falls into disrepair.

  3. Today

Now a business park. A number of the original T2 hangars still stand — and we make our canopies in one of them.

Eighty years on, the hangar’s still working — these days it turns out glass and steel canopies rather than bombers.

See what we can make for you.
