Flat Roof GRP Door Canopies

A flat roof canopy gives your entrance crisp, uncluttered shelter. It's a neat, modern line that suits contemporary homes and works just as well over a plain doorway on an older property. Our flat roof canopies are moulded in one piece from GRP, so they won't rot, warp or need repainting, and they're light enough to handle easily on site. Every one is made and finished in North Yorkshire. Prefer a traditional apex? See our pitched roof canopies, or browse the whole GRP canopy range.

Clean lines, real shelter
A flat roof keeps the profile low and tidy above the door while still keeping rain off the step. The range runs from the plain Haydock and the Kendal, with its moulded brackets, to the wide Windermere, which is made for double doors and broader openings.

Moulded GRP, not timber
Each canopy is a one-piece GRP (glass reinforced plastic) moulding with no joints to leak. It's pre-finished, needs no painting, and a wash with warm soapy water is usually all the care it needs.

The widest choice of sizes
Flat roof canopies come in more sizes than any other style we make. The Windermere alone is made from 1050mm to 3000mm wide, with projections of 530mm to 700mm, and the Coniston can be ordered with or without corbel brackets. Check each product for its exact sizes, or ask us for a quote for something different.

Light to handle, simple to fix
GRP is strong but light, so a flat roof canopy is straightforward to lift into place and puts less load on the wall fixings than heavier materials. Most installations are a two-person job.

Made in the UK
Each canopy is designed, moulded and finished in North Yorkshire. As with any canopy, check the supplied fixing and load information against your building and location before installing.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes do flat roof canopies come in?
It depends on the model. The Windermere is made in the widest range, from 1050mm up to 3000mm wide, while other styles such as the Haydock, Kendal and Penrith are made in one standard size. Each product page lists its exact sizes.
Is a flat roof canopy suitable for double doors?
Yes. The Windermere is made in wider sizes specifically for double doors and broader openings, up to 3000mm wide.
What are they made from?
GRP, glass reinforced plastic, also known as fibreglass. Each canopy is moulded in one piece, so there are no joints to leak and nothing to rot.
Do I need to paint a GRP canopy?
No. It's pre-finished before it leaves us and doesn't need painting. An occasional wash with warm soapy water keeps it looking fresh.
Flat or pitched roof - which should I choose?
A flat roof has a cleaner, more modern line and suits contemporary homes. A pitched roof gives the classic porch look for traditional and period frontages. Both are moulded GRP and equally low maintenance.
