    Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) Canopies

GRP (also known as Fibreglass Reinforced Plastic) is a composite material made by combining fibreglass strands with a resin base, which creates a strong, lightweight structure. When used for door canopies, GRP offers several benefits:

    • Durability: GRP is highly resistant to the elements, including UV rays, rain, snow, and extreme temperatures. This makes it an excellent choice for all-weather protection.

    • Lightweight & Easy to Install: Despite its strength, GRP is surprisingly light, which makes it easier to transport and install compared to heavier materials like wood or metal.

    • Low Maintenance: GRP canopies require minimal maintenance. They are non-porous, so they don’t rot, warp, or require regular painting like wood canopies. Simply cleaning with soapy water will keep them looking fresh.

    • Design Flexibility: GRP canopies can be moulded into a variety of traditional and contemporary styles, giving you flexibility in design and size.

    • Weather Resistance: GRP is resistant to both moisture and fading, making it ideal for outdoor environments where exposure to the elements is constant.

    Traditional Polymer Door Canopies

Due to its strength, versatility, and other extensive benefits, industrial polymers have become the chosen material for various industries. Industrial polymers are chemical compounds that make up versatile plastics that can be used to manufacture synthetic materials for construction, electronics, aerospace, manufacturing, and many other industries.

Industrial polymers are naturally corrosion-resistant. Unlike metal, industrial polymers do not need to have any additional sheathing or treatments done to protect against corrosion. Luckily, polymers are designed to have the correct surface and properties to be highly resistant to chemicals as well, whereas metal must be treated to have this property.

Industrial polymers are inexpensive to manufacture and naturally have many advantageous properties that make them a good replacement for heavy, costly metal parts. They are also much lighter than metal parts, making transportation easier and less expensive. Plastic parts also cause less friction and wear on equipment and machinery than metal does, lowering the risk of damage and the need for constant maintenance or replacement.
