Door Canopies for Housing Associations – DDA Compliant
We’re proud to offer a range of 7 contemporary door canopies specifically designed to comply with the requirements of Part M of the Building Regulations. The regulations which came into force in 2015 incorporate a requirement from the Equality Act (formerly the Disability Discrimination Act – DDA) which applies to developments with Social Housing.
The requirements apply to communal entrances and entrances to any individual Wheelchair or mobility users residence and require need to provide a covered area (Min width/ depth: 1200mm) above the entrance door level landing.
Our range gives developers and Housing Associations the choice of off-the shelf designs which have been engineered to ensure they meet or exceed stress/ deflections and snow loads in accordance with EN12150 and BS 5516-2.
In addition to this every canopy has been engineered to ensure compliance with stress/deflections and snow loads in accordance with EN12150 and BS 5516-2.

Every door canopy is offered in a range of durable finishes, from tough powder coated mild steel to Marine grade (316) Stainless Steel. Powder coated canopies are available in any RAL colour code in order to blend with the colour scheme of your building. (Please note in some cases there may be an additional charge for non-standard RAL colours)
As well as being functional each door canopy is designed to enhance the appearance of the building it’s fitted to. When it comes to installation, each kit is supplied with easy to follow fitting instructions and an appropriate fixing template in order to make the job as easy and quick as possible
